The time is far in the future. The place is a distant
world.
You are the newest member in an ecosystem dominated by giants.
Crouching in a thick jungle, sensing that you are not alone, you feel the ground shake. Soon the sound becomes deathly close. With your heart raising, you cock your weapon, look from your hiding place, and discover a seven ton Stegosaurus stopping to chew some leaves from a branch above your head. Suddenly the Stegosaurus leaps back and gives a terrible cry as he runs away from you. Thinking that you have just scared the poor herbivore out of a meal, you stand and walk a few feet from your comfort zone, so that you might scan the area for any high point targets or trophies. Looking around, you see nothing moving, except a few distant herbivores and three or four flying Dimorphodons. Feeling rather safe now, you check out the other side of the forest, not knowing that you are being watched by host of hungry predators. Walking slowly, you keep a keen eye out for any movement and any sound. You try to keep undercover as you follow along a river. "CRACK" is the sound that breaks the silence around you. Stopping and turning towards the direction of the noise you notice nothing out of the ordinary, except that all of the herbivores seem to have moved away. You crouch once again to double check the area around you. Then you notice it, a devilish eye glaring at you from a small opening in the foliage. Without a second thought, you raise your weapon, aim, and fire. The shock of you rifle blast echoes from the hills and rips the silence, which had engulfed you. You watch as your target wobbles and falls helplessly to the ground. Feeling rather bold now, you emerge from the shrubs to find that you have bag a mean looking Velociraptor. As you gaze upon your prize, you do not notice the movement behind you. You hear a twig snap. Turning around you discover an even bigger Velociraptor rushing towards you. You aim and fire your weapon, just as before, but this time, you hit the beast in the his shoulder, making it only angrier. You try for a second shot, but it's too late for the Velociraptor has you in his jaws before you can even squeeze the trigger.
The weapons you can hunt with are a pistol, shotgun,
sniper rifle, X-bow, and three other items. Once on the islands
you can roam wherever you like. Each island has hills, mountains,
and rocks which can give you a better view, but you just might be seen
as well. Valleys and mist filled river beds allow you to hide and
wait for the prey as you use the calling device or you can scott between
the trees. Anything is possible in this game.
